We’re delighted to welcome all parents and carers whose children will be starting with us in September 2025. This is such an exciting milestone for you and your child and we’re here to make the transition to school as smooth and positive as possible.

A Very Warm Welcome from Mrs France

Hello and a very warm welcome to our amazing school, Fulwood and Cadley. You are about to take a very exciting step on your learning journey and I am so pleased you chose our school.

My name is Mrs France and I feel very lucky, because I am the Headteacher here and I have the chance to meet some very special and amazing boys and girls from reception all the way up to year 6. I work with the teachers to ensure your learning is brilliant and we give you the best experiences we can both in and out of the classroom.

You will see me in and around school every day, during assemblies we will get together to tell stories and my favourite, sing some wonderful songs, we are very good at that here! You will also get the chance to show me your wonderful learning and who knows you may receive a Star of the Week Certificate or receive a very special postcard home. 

I look forward to meeting you and being part of this amazing learning adventure we have ahead of us.

Thursday 22nd May - New reception welcome meeting 6pm (see below)

Various dates in June - Mrs True & Mrs Duckworth will be visiting nurseries to chat to practitioners about your child

Tuesday 1st July & Thursday 3rd July - Reception taster days (see info pack from Parent Meeting)

Tuesday 2nd September–Friday 12th September - Initial half-day sessions for Reception children (see info pack from Parent Meeting)

Monday 15th September - Reception children start full time

New to Reception Welcome Meeting

You're Invited! – Reception Welcome Evening
Date: Thursday, 22nd May 2025
Time: 6:00 PM
Location: School Hall

We warmly invite all parents and carers to join us for our Reception Welcome Evening. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s new class teachers, Mrs True and Mrs Duckworth, and to learn more about the exciting journey ahead.

During the evening, we will introduce you to:

• The class structure and daily routines

• Our induction period to help children settle in

• Details of the taster days your child will enjoy before starting school

We look forward to welcoming you and working together to ensure a smooth and happy start for your child.
