School Uniform

School uniform is an essential part of school and helps your child understand that they now belong to our Fulwood and Cadley family. Your child will need their school uniform for when they start school during the Autumn Term.

Our uniform is available from Smart School Outfitters, 54 Lancaster Road, Preston.

Boys

Girls
  • Navy Blue School Jumper with School Logo – this is a wool blend v neck jumper (Smart Schoolwear)
  • White shirt – can be long or short sleeved depending on the weather and button to the neck
  • School Tie (clip on) – in school colours of navy and gold (Smart Schoolwear)
  • Grey Trousers/Shorts
  • Grey/Black Socks
  • Black Sensible School Shoes

 
  • Navy Blue School Jumper or Cardigan with School Logo – this is a wool blend v neck jumper or a wool blend button up cardigan (Smart Schoolwear)
  • White shirt – can be long or short sleeved depending on the weather and button to the neck

  • Navy Blue Skirt or Pinafore or Grey Trousers
  • Navy Blue Socks or Tights
  • Navy Blue Gingham Dress is Optional for Summer with White Socks
  • Black Sensible School Shoes

* Please note that the navy blue tracksuit top cannot be worn as a school jumper.  

Labelling Clothes

Please name everything!
All clothing and belongings must be clearly labelled — including shoes, pumps, coats, gloves, etc.
You can use iron-on or sew-in labels, or just write your child’s name on the tag with a pen.
Shoe name stickers are also helpful.
Unlabelled items are very hard to return — so please label everything.

Hairstyles

  • Hairstyles should be simple and suitable for school.

  • No shaved patterns in hair.

  • Hair that is longer than shoulder length must be tied back with a small, plain accessory (navy only).

  • Tying hair back helps with safety in lessons and PE, and helps prevent the spread of headlice.

  • No bright or large hair accessories.

Jewellery

  • No jewellery is allowed in school for safety reasons.

  • Earrings are not allowed.

  • A small wristwatch may be worn.

  • If your child is having their ears pierced, please do this at the start of the summer holidays so ears can heal before school starts.

School Backpack

  • All children need a school backpack.

  • Backpacks with the school logo can be bought from Smart School Outfitters.

  • Bags are used daily to carry letters, pictures, books and more.

  • Please make sure your child’s bag is clearly named — everyone has the same one!

  • A small keyring is allowed to help your child find their own bag.

What to Bring to School

  • A suitable coat (nothing too fancy — it might get muddy or wet!)

  • Hat, scarf and gloves (in colder weather)

  • A named water bottle

  • Their school rucksack every day (with reading book and reading record)

  • Spare clothes in the rucksack — socks, underwear, and trousers/skirt, just in case

  • Named wellies to keep at school
