School dinners

Cooked meals, including a vegetarian option, are prepared daily in our kitchen and children are offered a choice of main courses and desserts. Salads and fruit are always available. Meals are eaten in the dining hall.

The cost of a school meal is £2.90 per day. We are happy to accept payment for the week, month, half-term or term but always need payment in advance, so at least the week before. All payments should be processed through ParentPay, our online payment system.

Children can have a mixture of packed lunches and school meals during the week, but this can only be changed at the end of a term in readiness for the start of a new term.

Alternatively, children may bring a packed lunch. This should be in a secure named container. A drink should be provided in a non-breakable container. Packed lunches are eaten in the main hall. No sweets or fizzy drinks are allowed – instead, we encourage lots of fruit, vegetables and water.

Alternatively check out the following websites for tips and ideas:

Snacks at Playtime

Children in Key Stage One are provided with a piece of fruit during the morning break through the National Fruit Scheme and are therefore free of charge.  Children in Key Stage Two may bring in a healthy snack from home to eat at break times.

Fruit or healthy cereal bars are the only snacks that are permitted to be brought from home.

Water Bottles

We encourage all of our children to drink water throughout the day and this can be brought to school in a clear (named) bottle with a non-spill sports cap which can be refilled.

Toast

Pupils have the option to purchase morning toast from the kitchen.  This is paid by ParentPay, the online payment system, and is done in advance for each half-term.  If you have any queries regarding toast, please contact Mrs. McGown in the office by phone or email amcgown@fulwoodcadley.lancs.sch.uk

Milk

SCHOOL MILK SCHEME FOR RECEPTION, YEAR 1 & YEAR 2 CHILDREN

We provide school milk through a third party called Cool Milk.  Parents pay for their milk directly to this company who delivers it to school.  A link to their website is provided below or, alternatively, ask the office for a registration leaflet.
