Early Years Foundation Stage

Parents Guide to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the framework that supports children’s learning and development from birth to five years. It ensures children learn in a safe, caring and stimulating environment.

Children learn best through play, exploration and positive relationships. We support each child as an individual, helping them to develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.

The EYFS covers seven areas of learning and development, working together to prepare children for school and future learning. We value working in partnership with parents and carers to support every child’s development.
