A Message from Mr Williams - Summer B
Hi Class 7!
I can't believe how long it has been since we last saw each other. I am missing being in school with you lot! I hope you are all staying safe and trying to make the best of a bad situation!
I want you to continue with your Purple Mash work. This will be updated every Monday with work on Maths, English, History, Science and ICT. On the home learning menu there are also plenty of activities for you to do. Once you complete them, send me pictures to my email as I would love to see your work!
Talk for Writing Units of Work
At school, we begin learning to write in Reception/EYFS and use a teaching method called 'Talk for writing' until a child's final year in year 6. It is such a crucial part of learning how to write for all year groups.
I have attached three new story units below that you may like to use to support your childs oral and written retelling of stories
The Year 4 Units are called:
The King of the Fishes
It would be lovely if you could listen to your child read these stories or even read these to your child and ask them the questions along the way. I am sure Mr Williams would love to see some video clips or photographs of the children in class 7 completing some of these wonderful stories and activities.
A huge thank you for all that you are doing to support your child's home learning
Year 4 Mathematics
Here is a parent friendly guide for the Mathematics skills which are taught in Year 4. We are hoping you will find this useful to support any additional Maths work you are doing with your child during the school closure.
