New to Reception Booklet

Welcome to Fulwood and Cadley Primary School

Beginning school is a major event in the life of a four year old and it won’t be long before your child will be starting with us at Fulwood and Cadley Primary School. There will be lots of new things to learn and of course you will want to ensure that your child is well prepared for this important event.  Like you, we want your child to feel happy and confident about coming to school, as enjoyment and achievement go hand-in-hand.

We believe that you, as parents, are the first and most important teachers of your child and we do not seek to replace that role, rather to support you in a spirit of co-operation.

With parents, teachers and children working together, we can achieve a great deal, providing a positive self-image therefore enabling more productive learning.

This booklet is designed to make the transition into school as easy as possible, booklets have been posted out to all our new families and sections of the booklet are available on this area of our website.
