Welcome Message

Hello and a very warm welcome to Class 8!

I am delighted to be your class teacher in Class 8 and look forward to enjoying our learning during your Year 4 journey at Fulwood and Cadley. Mrs Milnes is our wonderful teaching assistant who will also be teaching in class on Wednesday afternoons as PPA cover. I truly believe that teaching and learning should be an enjoyable experience for all, and we will achieve this in a variety of ways – hands on learning, experimentation, questioning, group work, drama, music and much more to ensure a varied and all-inclusive experience. What an exciting year lies ahead!

Physical Education

The class PE days for Class 8 are on Monday (Outdoor PE) and Thursday (Indoor PE) where children should come to school in their PE kits. Please note that tights and leggings are not permitted – children should wear their shorts/navy tracksuit bottoms, school PE t-shirt and PE hoody. Thank-you.

Home Learning

Spellings will be uploaded to Showbie on a Friday. The children are also expected to read every day at home for a minimum of fifteen minutes and practise their individual times table targets every day. Spellings and times tables will tested on the following Friday. There will also be a termly Home Learning Menu if your child wishes to complete more tasks, however, this is not a statutory requirement and completely up to the discretion of the individual family.
