Meet the Governors

Welcome to our Governing Body.  Below is a brief profile of our governors.

Mrs. J Rosebury - Chair of Governors

I am a Community Governor, and I am serving a second term as Chair of Governors at Fulwood and Cadley.  I first became a governor when my sons attended Fulwood and Cadley (the eldest of whom is now a primary school teacher himself) and I have always been impressed by the school's commitment to all aspects of childrens' education.  I gained my degree in English and American Literature from the University of Warwick where I also achieved a masters degree, before my MPhil from the University of Sunderland.  I have recently retired having been involved in education all of my working life.  For the last thirty years I was a university lecturer in English Literature at the University of Central Lancashire as well as being involved in Quality Assurance and, at various times, managing different teams and departments.  I bring this professional experience to my role as a School Governor, as well as my commitment to ensure all children are provided with the best educational experience.

Mrs. E Hodgkinson - Vice Chair of Governors

I am a Parent Governor and have two daughters at school.  I regularly help out at the school and enjoy seeing how happy and committed the pupils are and the dedication from the staff.

I currently run my own building and maintenance business with my husband but have previously worked as a lecturer in environmental law and conservation and as a waste management assessor and internal verifier.  I have a keen interest in sustainability and the importance of environmental education for young children and I look forward to working with the Governing Body.

Mr. L Waring

I am Community Governor at Fulwood and Cadley and the link governor for pupil premium, sports premium and outcomes.  Professionally I currently work as Vice Principal at Fulwood Academy with responsibility for teaching & learning, curriculum and outcomes.  I gained my History Degree at Lancaster University and also have a Masters Degree in Education from the same institution.  I am passionate about improving the quality of education for young people and doing whatever it takes to improve their life chances.  I am very much looking forward to working with the school leadership team and the other governors to help further raise the standards of education at Fulwood and Cadley.

Miss F Foss

I am a newly appointed Teacher Governor. I have worked at Fulwood and Cadley for over five years and have taught in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.  I lead Science and Global learning across school, and have previously managed Geography.

I have a keen interest in the importance of outdoor learning for young children and how this can have a positive affect on their mental health.  I have demonstrated strengths in working with children with complex needs.

I look forward to working with the Governing Body.

Mrs. J Margerison

I have been associated with school for the past 24 years, firstly as a parent, then as a parent helper and in 2000 I became a member of staff.  I am currently a HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) covering classes for teachers PPA sessions, illness and courses. I am subject leader for DT (Design & Technology).  I currently run Friends of Fulwood and Cadley, with the help of my colleagues and parents, which I have been involved in for over 20 years.

I look forward to working with the Governing Body and being involved in a side of the school that I have not had experience of.

Miss Chantelle Harrison

Hello, I am a Governor at Fulwood and Cadley Primary School and have been here since November 2020.  Having spent my working life within the private and public sectors within a commercial capacity, I bring the skills I use in my professional life to assist in the Governance of the school.  I aim to bring external experience and business best practice into the school to help drive continuous improvement, as well as take back new skills and perspectives to my workplace.
